Those who think that theology is too complicated and heavy to understand need to listen to this series, for Jesus sets forth in the Gospel of John his entire plan for the salvation of his people and the means by which it shall be accomplished. Amazingly, Jesus presents profound theology in the simplest of terms, using illustrations from well-known aspects of daily life like sheep and bread. In this series Dr. David Lawrence presents twelve lectures on the Gospel of John which capture the essence and the simplicity of Jesus' teaching, and which stress the major and repeated themes found in the Gospel of John: man's inability to save himself, Jesus' absolute certainty that his work of salvation will succeed, the overarching eternal plan of God, and the outworking of all Jesus said in the differing reactions of the unbelieving and the believing. This study is designed to hear Christ set forth the answers to the basis questions of faith and to unfold the glory of his Father's plan of salvation and his own work against the background of real people who heard and responded to his teachings. It is the heartfelt prayer of those of us at Engedi Ministries that this study may deeply and positively affect your life and your relationship with God and will make the meaning of your salvation clear and glorious in your mind. May it lead you to peace, joy, and a closer and more fruitful walk with your Lord, all to the praise of his glory and grace!
