We sing it in our hymns: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty”, “We are standing on holy ground”, “Holy is the Lord”, and so many more.  But do we understand what holy means?  Do we understand what it means for God to be holy?

If we do not understand the holiness of God, we do not really understand God.  And if we do not really understand God, we shall never understand fully our salvation.  Yet the topic of the holiness of God is so sadly neglected in our churches today that few people have ever heard a sermon on or been through a thorough study of the topic.

It is timely and important that Engedi Ministries makes this study available.  This study will take you into depths you probably never explored, and through theological passageways that will open up to you vistas you never conceived before to exist.  We are excited about offering this study, and yet we approach it with fear and trepidation, because it is so profound and awesome.  Like the word of God penetrating to the dividing of joints and marrow and judging the very thoughts and intents of the heart, the study of the holiness of God goes deep into the human soul and mind and heart and searches out our inmost thoughts and intents.
