We received several responses to the recent devotional on “The Uniqueness of Grace.” One of our subscribers commented: “AMEN!” Another sent these words: “ Hey David! I just wanted to say this was an excellent devotional (not that the other are not excellent!) - just wanted to say thanks for pointing this out - not sure I had ever thought about it before!”

And this subscriber added an in-depth analysis of his own: “Excellent as always, Dr. Lawrence.  Put another way, the infallible gospel of our Lord is the only world religion where the true God descends to mankind to save His people.  Every other world religion, including variants of Christianity, requires mankind to reach God in one form or another.  Nothing compares to the redemptive beauty of God's grace, perfectly accomplished through the finished work of Jesus Christ and applied to us via the Holy Spirit!  It is indeed the only genuine, solid Hope for anyone.”

All three of the brothers who submitted these reactions are close friends of mine who have shared the journey in grace with me. I deeply appreciate their friendship and ongoing study of the word and involvement in the church. I commend their responses to you. Together all of us share in the fellowship of this unique grace unknown in all the religions and interpretations of Christianity corrupted by the sinful work of man. Grace alone is pure and undefiled; grace alone can save. Amen, indeed.
